Truth be told, when I arrived on the rooftop of Hotel Deluxe's parking lot, I was more enthralled with the sights and sounds of being up so high rather than the tunes. That not to say Eskimo and Sons didn't put on a captivating show, just that the uniqueness of the gig overcame me. I soon stepped away from the band to look out over the city skyline. I couldn't have asked for a better view with a better soundtrack. Not only with such songs as "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown" (performed mid-set, but the first tune to serenade me upon arrival) and "Snore," but that of the massive cheers coming from PGE which you could only hear the closer to the ledge you were. What did it sound like? One giant roller-coaster ride.
