fernandoAs we breathlessly await the arrival of True Instigator (Fernando Viciconte's upcoming Americana release with '90s band members Joe Chiusano and Daniel Eccles), let's travel back to 2006's Enter To Exit. A critically-lauded collection of Beatlesy pop and countrified melancholy, today's selection "The Devil's in the Sky" falls decidedly in the latter camp. Frontier-noir pedal steel saunters though indie murder balladry as the northwest roots legend's inimitable vocals wring out every drop of heartache. If you haven't read, rumors of career-threatening throat troubles proved untrue, and, listening to the track, thank the stars.
