Watch M. Ward Perform on Letterman

M WardThose of you who missed M. Ward's performance on the Late Show with David Letterman last Thursday night are in luck. Thank YouTube, here it is for your enjoyment. Ward is looking wonderfully spooky while he plays "Chinese Translation" with the help of those crazy kids in Norfolk & Western and our very own Mike Coykendall, who produced a couple tracks on Ward's latest Post-War.

It seems to me that Mr. Matt Ward is a man who should be surrounded by some grand weirdo mythology of Americana that can be whispered into ears at live shows as he stretches his neck out and croons his masterpieces.

New Fan: Wow. He looks so disturbed, in such a gentle way.

Old Fan: Yeah. I heard that he spent his teens in a closet reading Richard Brautigan backwards, by his own choice. And he eats sand.

New Fan: That makes sense.
