A huge number of local restaurants, venues and events are offering up a portion of their proceeds this weekend (and in the weeks to come) to help Haiti relief efforts. Plus, lots of local groups are mobilizing to gather supplies. We'll update this list as new info pops up in our Inbox so keep refreshing this post.

The excellent North Williams Avenue dining room donates five percent of its food sales
this weekend to Mercy Corps, which is already hard at work helping Haiti relief efforts.

THURSDAY: Songs for Haiti: A Benefit Concert for Mercy Corps
That's to locals arts man Stephen Beaudoin and Tom Sessa Portland's already mobilized to throw a mega music benefit for Haiti. Performers at the Thursday, Jan. 21 show at the Aladdin include: pianist
Thomas Lauderdale, Cool Nutz, Portland Cello Project, Janice Scroggins, Holcombe Waller, Oregon Symphony concertmaster Jun Iwasaki, with pianist Grace Fong, Broadway veteran, baritone Douglas Webster, Flash Choir, PHAME, the Grant High School Royal Blues, and Storm Large among others.

SATURDAY: Groove Movement Haiti Relief Concert
Shake your ass and raise some cash.
The Groove Movement, a local non-profit that uses music to raise money for humanitarian efforts, focuses on Haiti funds on
Saturday, Jan. 23 with a concert that boasts everybody from Voltronic and Intervision to Chervona. Helping Orphans Worldwide Foundation will match up to $1,000 for the event.

SUNDAY: Portland Vegan Bake Sale For Haiti
The city's veggie clan raise funds on Sunday Jan. 31 with a big, vegan bake sale.

Portland Haiti Relief Container Project
The plan is simple: fill a gigantic 40 foot long shipping container with as many basic needs items as possible, then send it to Haiti. Stop by Portland Foursquare church with your donations and look for a bright red receptacle the size of your house.

Southlake Church Re-gifting for Haiti Auction
West Linn's Southgate Church wants your unwanted Christmas presents. The church is hosting the "ultimate “Re-Gifting” auction via the nonprofit system on eBay, to help raise funds—100% of which will be immediately diverted to the humanitarian operations in Haiti."

Two teams of Oregon and Washington doctors from the Northwest's
Medical Teams International are traveling to Haiti. Medical Teams International is also accepting cash contributions to send more volunteers and supplies.
