Portland Police Union Announces Tentative Contract Deal With the City

The Portland Police Association today announced on its website what the union leadership is calling a “tentative contract agreement” with the City of Portland.

The announcement says the union’s 900 members will learn the terms of the deal next month at two general meetings with Officer Daryl Turner, who heads the police union; and union attorney Will Aitchison.

WW published excerpts on Dec. 21 of what appears to be a draft of the tentative agreement. The document was leaked from inside the police union.

But when reached for comment last week, Turner said he had not seen a copy and that the union had not “gone into details on any part of the contract.”
