Where and When to Let Off Steam About Bagby Hot Springs

For those wanting to weigh in on the debate over Bagby Hot Springs, take note that there will be a public meeting next week to discuss Bagby's future.

The meeting will be on Tuesday Jan. 18 from 4-7pm at the Mount Hood National Forest Headquarters at 16400 Champion Way in Sandy.

The U.S. Forest Service is making plans to privatize Bagby, saying better management is needed to control litter and vandalism. The Northwest Forest Conservancy, the nonprofit Bark and many Bagby regulars are outraged at the prospect of higher fines and stricter rules.
