Portland Police this afternoon released the names of the four
officers involved in
the shooting of 34-year-old
Marcus Lagozzino in Southwest Portland on Dec. 27.
According to police:
Officer Jamin Becker, a 2-year-veteran of the Police Bureau, fired a Taser one time.
Officer Ralph Elwood, a 14-year-veteran of the Police Bureau, fired four rounds from a less lethal shotgun.
Officer Scott Foster, a 17-year-veteran of the Police Bureau, fired three rounds from a less lethal shotgun.
Officer Bradley Clark, a 4-year-veteran of the Police Bureau, fired four shots from an AR-15 at Lagozzino, striking him at least three times.
Lagozzino remains hospitalized being treated for gunshot wounds to the chest. A Multnomah County grand jury is expected to convene next week to review the police officers' response. Officer Clark is still on paid administrative leave pending a decision by the grand jury.
