Get Your War Off: 'Rethink Afghanistan' Coming to Portland

While President Obama is busy escalating U.S. involvement in Afghanistan, some Portlanders are taking it into their own hands to protest the troop surge.

Next week they'll get a lift from a documentary film swinging through town that urges Americans to rethink the war.

Rethink Afghanistan is showing at the Clinton Street Theater on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 7 pm. The film by the nonprofit Brave New Foundation is billed as an exploration of the issues surrounding the Afghan war.

The screening will be followed by a conversation with director Robert Greenwald. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $10.
