U.S. Rep.
Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) bragged in this
TV campaign ad back in September that he "took on Bush and Pelosi."
Now, barely a week after DeFazio won re-election to a 13th term at the same time the Democrats lost the House majority for 2011, DeFazio is really taking on House Speaker
Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
DeFazio and Rep. Marci Kaptur (D-Ohio) have written a
letter to their fellow House Democrats urging a delay in their party caucus' leadership elections. Their letter was interpreted in DC as a move to allow more time for Democrats unhappy with Pelosi's leadership to deny her election to the post of House Minority Leader in the next Congress.
