The
Portland Water Bureau's installation of a
Portland Loo—a freestanding public toilet designed and patented by the city—at the edge of Jamison Square Park is not being welcomed by some Pearl District residents.
The Loo, which will give the children and parents who flock to the park's fountain in summer a much-needed bathroom and help area shopkeepers deal with a
constant stream of key requests, will be placed at the corner of Northeast 11th Avenue and Johnson. I spotted these signs last night at the construction site, presumably posted by someone who hates children.
