Your Guide to Election Day and Night: The Races We're Watching and Where We'll Be

vote

It's Election Day ... finally. And we at WW's world headquarters are here for you.

In separate posts, we'll be covering tonight's campaign parties for Oregon gubernatorial candidates John Kitzhaber and Chris Dudley; Metro President candidates Tom Hughes and Bob Stacey; and Multnomah County Commissioner candidates Karol Collymore and Loretta Smith. We'll also be with U.S. Rep. David Wu (D-Ore.) to see whether he is immune to the expected national wave of Republican victories in the House and Senate.

And we'll follow the fate of Measure 26-108, the measure asking Portland voters whether they want to continue the city's unique system of providing public financing for city candidates who collect enough signatures and matching $5 donations. Finally, we'll be posting with coverage of the local TV coverage of elections (meta, huh?) and at the Multnomah County elections office for the last-minute rush of ballot dropoffs before the 8 pm deadline.

(If you haven't voted yet, here's the list of places you can drop your ballot off. And if you need any last-minute help filling out that ballot, we've got that covered too.)

And of course, check our Twitter feed every second.

Meantime, if you've voted and got nothing to do while waiting for state and local election returns, feel free to obsessively check the turnout numbers for Multnomah County and statewide [PDF].
