Saucebox Loses Another Chef

Saucebox, the downtown restaurant started in Chris Israel and Bruce Carey in 1995, has lost its second chef since summer 2010. First mohawk-sporting Gregory Gourdet moved to Departure, that other white-walled pan-Asian eatery in town, in July. Now his replacement, Jason Neroni, who was just hired at the end of October, has left the restaurant. Neroni completely overhauled the menu during his tenure at Saucebox, largely, in my opinion, for the better. According to a press release from Bruce Carey Restaurants, his successor, sous chef Alex Diestra, will roll back some of those changes:
