Fashion Feud—a live fashion design competition—is coming back to Portland for the second round of competitive couture (the winners of the three initial rounds will compete this May in the finals). Watch and vote as Portland designers
Nelli Millard and
Lamontario Kent outfit models using mystery cloth (from NYC's
Mood Designer Fabrics) that they won't see until they pull it out of a bag on stage. Winners receive $200 and a chance to compete in the May 12 finals for an extra $400 bones. Fashion Feud Portland is set to strut its stuff once monthly in March, April and May.
West Portland's
Tres Bon Salon and Natalia Olson will be hand to help with hair and makeup and two local models will don the duds.
It's like
Project Runway but without spending weeks watching designers fight about who stole the chiffon or hearing Tim Gunn's insufferable voice.
GO: Fashion Feud PDX at Bossanova Ballroom, 722 E Burnside St. 8:30 pm Thursday, March 3. Free. All ages. Info at facebook.com/FashionFeudPDX.
