DFA Premieres New YACHT song "Dystopia (The Earth is On Fire)"

Now this is an interesting way to combat a leak. Today the DFA records blog posted the second of its "White Out Sessions," where James Murphy's impeccable dance-rock label plays a new song from one of its artists on a turntable in the label's office. After hearing "Dystopia (The Earth is On Fire)," an unheard YACHT track, I'm pretty sure it's the new YACHT single. I'm also pretty sure that the hook is a play on the Bloodhound Gang's "Fire Water Burn." Talk about hip references! Anyway, here's the video of YACHT's new disco jam, which is a total banger and features my high school music nerd bestie Claire L. Evans giving her strongest vocal performance to date. No word yet on just when YACHT's new full-length is out, but judging by the band's upcoming spring tour, I'd say that early summer is a good bet.
