Voodoo Doughnut Co-Owner Opening Putt-Putt Golf Palace

Tres Shannon, co-owner of Voodoo Doughnut, and Polly Bangs, the founder of the at-risk youth job skills training program Urban Opportunities, will soon open Portand P Palace in a former car dealership at Northeast 24th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard.

What's a P Palace? According to Bangs, it's "Portland's Premier Putt-Putt Course serving Potables and Provisions...and a lot of other things that begin with 'P.'"

According to the liquor license application, some of those things are pool, ping pong, pinball and plenty to drink—the application is for a full license, which includes spirits. As the state requires, there will also be food: soup, sandwiches and salad, according to the application. It will be open noon to 2 am Friday and Saturday nights and until midnight every other day, although it also notes, "We hope to create a family fun center that all can enjoy."
