As you are likely already aware, the Wonder Ballroom is hosting a fantastic bill of modern indie pop with co-headlining sets from our local heroes Starfucker and Brooklyn-based twee-dreamsters The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart.

To celebrate what is likely to be one of the best concerts of 2011, we have teamed up with Polyvinyl Records for a little music giveaway. We have vinyl AND CD copies of the Pains' latest LP Belong and the most recent Starfucker release Reptilians that we are willing to give to you free of charge in one tidy little package. You read that right: you get all four if you are chosen as the winner.

So, how do you win this sweet batch of music? All you need to do is answer four fairly easy (or at least easily Google-able) trivia questions in our comments section. We'll choose a winner at random from all the folks who answer all four correctly. You have until 5pm PT today (October 5th, 2011) to get your answers in. Plenty of time. Just be sure to leave us with a proper e-mail address with your comment so we can get a hold of you should you end up as the lucky winner.

Whew...after all that, here are your questions:

1) For a brief stretch, Starfucker decided to change their name to something a little friendlier for print. What name did they choose?
2) Pains of Being Pure At Heart leader Kip Berman used to live here in Portland and went to school at one of our many universities. Which one?
3) Opening act Big Troubles recorded their second album Romantic Comedy with noted producer Mitch Easter. What was the name of the band that Easter fronted in the '80s?
4) The first act on the bill is a young man who plays lo-fi pop under the name Alexico. On his website, he hosts a playlist of homemade videos under the name "Videodrome", which is a reference to a movie starring James Woods and Blondie's Debbie Harry. Who directed the film Videodrome?

Yeah, I know the last one is a bit of a stretch but I'm working under a deadline here, people! Good luck to you all.
