The project: Razzle Dazzle 2.0 - The MarchFourth Bus Project

Who's behind it? The March Fourth Marching Band

Why do they want your money? A new tour bus. One of the most in demand live acts from Portland, the MFMB have logged a lot of miles on their original party wagon, the Razzle Dazzle, and are looking for a much-needed upgrade. They have one in their sights and need the help of the Kickstarter community to afford it.

What are they offering in return? For even the smallest donation - $10 - you will get your name immortalized on a plaque that will remain on the bus until they move to version 3.0. If you act now, a $25 dollar donation will net you an invite to a Kickstarter supporters only show to take place sometime in the late spring. Go crazy and spend the very specific amount of $3,434 and you will get either plane tickets to Portland w/ a hotel room and backstage passes to the band's 10th anniversary show next March, or they'll fly you to summer festival that the band is playing and get you in with backstage passes, the VIP treatment, and you can camp with the band.

How much are they asking for? $46,064, of which they've netted $11,423 as of this writing.

Will they be fully funded? They've got until March 8th to do it, so I think it will happen in due course.

Our final assessment: This whole campaign is a testament to what a goofy and spirited bunch the MFMB are - just watch the campaign video and you'll see what I'm talking about. Of course, they'd turn to their rabid fanbase for help with this! Without this bus, they might miss out on the chance to see the MFMB blow the doors of their local watering hole or concert hall. And I love how willing they are to let complete strangers join the party by offering up a space in the campground or to let them hang out backstage. I know I wanna party with these kids. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to cobble together $3,000.
