CONTEST: Win Tickets To See Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly

There's something poetic about the fact that Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly is known as a "quiet storm" band. The genre designation has to do with radio stations that would give over their late night programming to silky DJs playing smooth R&B and soul jams to help you relax and/or make your bedroom activities a little sexier.

Maze has been providing such a soundtrack for over 40 years now, and they continue to tour the world bringing their sweaty, romantic classics like "Golden Time of Day," "I Wish You Well," and "Joy and Pain" (which provided the incessant hook to the Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock tune of the same name) to the people. And they'll be bringing it to Portland tomorrow night as part of the Soul'd Out Music Festival

Well, we are so excited about the show that we have a pair of tickets to give away for one lucky individual to experience the magic of Maze live and in person tomorrow night.

Here's the deal: send an e-mail to localcutcontests - at - gmail.com and with your name and a valid e-mail address before noon tomorrow. We'll pick one name out of the bunch soon thereafter. Remember: we use your e-mail addresses for good and not evil - that is, we'll only use it for the services of this contest and then forget about it afterwards. But we'll never forget the love we had, baby.
