Your Money's No Good Here! Mayoral Candidates On The Campaign Cash Chase

BRADY, (left) HALES (center) and SMITH (right)

It's almost election time, which means WW's conference rooms have been busier than usual, with all the candidates coming for endorsement interviews.

Last week, WW hosted the leading candidates for mayor, State Rep. Jefferson Smith (D-Portland), former City Commissioner Charlie Hales and businesswoman Eileen Brady. (The other candidates on the ballot were interviewed separately.)

Yesterday, we posted a clip from the interview with Brady, Smith and Hales showing where and how they differ on the proposed $62 million Oregon Sustainability Center.

In today's video, the candidates respond to a question about what is probably the most corrosive and corrupting feature of American politics, campaign finance. The question:

Is there anyone whose money you won't take?

Election Day is May 15.

You can see these mayoral contenders tonight at Candidates Gone Wild at the Bagdad Theater on Southeast Hawthorne.
