Live Reel: Harlowe and the Great North Woods

Portland’s Harlowe and the Great North Woods may be a fledgling act, but they've got some talent to share. Band members Mark Robertson, Chris Miller, Bob Reynolds and Andrew Campbell delivered an intimate candlelit performance in a small, rustic North Portland cabin for this Live Reel session. Dodging all of the obvious fire hazards we planted around the space, the group played a reworked version of the song “Roses,” from its 2010 self-titled EP.

Between Robertson’s hushed vocals, the sweeping violin and the beautiful push-pull arrangement, the video gives a taste of what to look forward to from this band in the future—as a full-length debut album is in the works.
