PETA + Strippers + Black Friday =

What do you get when you add the PR-crazed folks at PETA with the publicity-savvy people at Casa Diablo —which bills itself as a vegan strip club— on one of the year's most news-challenged days?

The Black Friday answer of course is strippers promising to wear nothing but a thong in a downtown Portland window at 816 S.W. First Ave. (between Taylor and Yamhill) at 1 pm this Friday, Nov. 27. The press release that came in this morning from PETA and Casa Diablo says the stunt is meant to highlight Fur-Free Friday — in other words, urging passersby to not buy animal skins as part of their holiday shopping.
