President of Beers: #27

Trinity India Pale Ale: Trinity Beer Co., Providence, Rhode Island

We're drinking the flagship craft beer from every state in the Union, counting down from 50-1, to find which is home to the President of Beers.

#27: Trinity India Pale Ale: Trinity Beer Co., Providence, the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

State: The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, the country's smallest independent landmass, a non-threateningly weird place where people eat snails by the pound and have a feudal system built around license plate numbers.

Brewery: Trinity Beer Co., which RateBeer says brews the best stuff in Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.

Beer: Trinity IPA, which although from the Atlantic-bordering Rhode Island and Providence Plantations tastes a lot like a hoppy West Coast IPA. Several tasters complained about the lingering aftertaste.

Difficulty of obtaining in Oregon: Very difficult. Only distributed in Rhode Island and Providence Plantations and a few shops in states next to Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, all of which do not allow beer to be shipped.
