Fresh off tour and back in Portland, Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside took the stage at the Doug Fir to headline a sold-out, OPB-sponsored homecoming show on Sept. 21. Arriving just after 10 pm, the band performed a set of tunes both from its debut album, Dirty Radio, and its upcoming effort, due to be released in January. At one point, Ford announced, "This is my fucking barbecue," kicking off a round of applause and cheers that carried a wild effect throughout the night. Prior to the show, the group also performed a six-song promotional set at the OPB studios, in addition to participating in an interview.
