: Jim Carrey has been attached to star in a quirky romance set in Portland. The annual Black List
of promising unproduced scripts includes The Portland Condition
, penned by former Entourage
writers Dan Cohn and Jeremy Miller.
“Set against the backdrop of rainy Portland, Oregon, a young man finds himself falling in love for the first time—only to receive a letter from his future self, warning him of impending heartbreak,”
the site says.
A source inside William Morris Endeavor, the agency representing the film, says the main character has been aged up since Carrey signed on.
“We’re looking for a director to attach to it,” the source said. “Jim Carrey is attached to star. It’s not a movie yet, but it’s something we’re looking to package in the new year.”
No other casting decisions have yet been made, the source said.
