Win Tickets to Stumpfest 2013!

Want to have your brain warped and crushed this weekend? Enter here!

It's officially festival season. If you're anything like me, though, the thought of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with shirtless bros and barely post-embryonic kids on molly under a blazing hot sun watching ant-sized humans dance on a stage a few miles in the distance probably fills you with dread. And you're not really that big into EDM and Mumford and Sons, anyway.

Luckily, Stumpfest is an entirely different beast. But a beast it is: two days of mind-melting metal and psychedelia, held in the intimate confines of Mississippi Studios. This year's event, taking place Friday-Saturday, April 19-20, features 10 devastating acts, from Illinois' stoner-psych two-piece Tweak Bird to Portland hard rockers Danava to Charlie Salas Humara's spaced-out synth project Regular Music to doom-metal vets Floor to recent Relapse Records signees Lord Dying.

Interested in attending? Local Cut has a pair of two-day passes (a $25 value!) we'd like to give you. The first two people to email me at msinger@wweek.com with STUMPFEST in the headline gets 'em! The contest closes at 5 pm today, so act quick!

Shows on both days start at 8 pm. Here is the full Stumpfest lineup:
