Oregon Bus Project Leader to Step Down

Caitlin Baggott, the executive director of the Oregon Bus Project, announced today in a statement that she will step down at the end of the summer.

Baggott succeeded her co-founder and boss, former State Rep. Jefferson Smith (D-Portland), at the wheel of the Bus, a non-profit which promotes voter registration and civic engagement.

Baggott did not provide information in her announcement about who will succeed her or what she plans to do next.

Baggott said in a text that the Bus will launch a national search next week. As for her own plans, she says "I'm looking to build on the work I've done at the Bus but I still have a few months before I need to make a decision."
