WATCH: Red Fang Annihilates Letterman

And introducing the Portland stoner-rock titan's newest member, Paul Shaffer!

Red Fang continued its march toward global domination Friday night, making its network television debut on Late Night With David Letterman.

As noted in the past, whoever books the musical acts there has some sort of Portland jones, but this was less of a left-field booking than when Typhoon and Sallie Ford appeared back-to-back in 2011, considering the stoner-rock kings' latest album, Whales and Leeches, debuted in the Billboard Top 100. Still, it's a major milestone for a band that's gone from local heroes to national heavyweights in just the past couple years.

Watch the band pulverize "Blood Like Cream" below, complete with Paul Shaffer on keyboards, and stick around to see Dave make a little joke at the expense of drummer John Sherman. We think he can take it: Red Fang has a pretty good sense of humor, after all.
