Boise's Treefort Music Festival Announces Second Wave of Acts

Several Portland acts added to bill that already included Run the Jewels, Built to Spill, Joy Formidable and many more.

The Treefort Music Festival is held in Boise, Idaho, but it might as well be considered at least half a Portland music festival. Not just because it's a mere six and a half hours down the road, but because the organizers go out of their way to stuff the bill with Stumptown bands.

Last month, the festival rolled out the first part of this year's lineup, headlined by the powerful hip-hop tandem Run the Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike), Joy Formidable and, of course, Boise's own indie-rock gods Built to Spill and featuring several Portland acts, including Modern Kin, Vikesh Kapoor, Hustle and Drone, Psychic Rites and Summer Cannibals. This morning, Treefort added a slew of new names to the bill and, along with national names such as Polica, RJD2, Dan Deacon, Cody Chesnutt, Perfect Pussy and Milagres, there are a bunch more Rose City locals heading over in March, among them Au, Aan, Eternal Tapestry, Horse Feathers, Wooden Indian Burial Ground, Gaytheist and Sallie Ford's new post-Sound Outside project, which includes Anita Lee Elliot (ex-Viva Voce) and members of Point Juncture, WA and Albatross.
