Intel missed out on much of the smart-phone revolution. So now the company has a bullpen full of 100 certified smart people in Hillsboro trying to make sure it doesn’t miss the next big thing. Over the weekend, the New York Times took a look at how the leader of that group, Genevieve Bell, an Australian anthropologist, tries to figure out what that next big thing will be.
‘Ultimately, it will be about people stuff,’ Bell told the Times. ‘You have to understand people to build the next generation of technology.’
