Coming out of London with a sound pitched between My Bloody Valentine and Dinosaur Jr., the young band gets labeled as "shoegaze," but that doesn't seem like a particularly fitting tag for a group that operates with this much surging energy.  It's newly released self-titled record does drift along on a bed of pink-hued, Kevin Shields-esque guitar fuzz, but the best tunes on the record rip forward with punky propulsion. Taken together, it's an intoxicating combination.
