Do Two Good Exhibition Games For Greg Oden Mean Anything?

Every flash of progress by Greg Oden sends me and other fans into speculating that the Trail Blazers center is finally poised to become a big contributor. The latest example comes just two games into the exhibition season after Oden put up back-to-back good nights against lowly Sacramento.

Oden —who I root for in part because he seems like a decent human being— has nowhere to go but up after his middling rookie season. And I think he will — how hard can it be to develop a coupla post moves and learn to defend the pick-and-roll without hacking? But take it from an injury-prone center like Bill Walton: the real question about Oden will be whether Oden can stay healthy. I hope he can.
