An employee at
Noah's Bagels on Northwest 23rd Avenue has confirmed the Colorado-based chain is not renewing the lease at its Northwest neighborhood location.
The closure, which coincides with Noah's 20th anniversary, is just the latest in
a long line of business failures to strike Trendy-Third,
whose nickname has taken on new meaning in this recession.
Still standing in the Bagel Wars are
Kettleman Bagels, which opened a Northwest location in July 2008, and
Kenny & Zuke's, which opened on NW Thurman Street in
April. (Kenny & Zuke's offers bagels only on weekends.)
