WW reported last week that Jonathan Poisner would be
leaving the
Oregon League of Conservation Voters after 12 years as its executive director. Today, we learn that Poisner's replacement will be Jon Isaacs, who's well-connected in Democratic circles.
Isaacs' background includes stints as executive director of
FuturePAC, the political committee for Oregon's House Democrats; and as both campaign manager and then state director for new U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.). (Isaacs also has been among the
advisers to state Rep. Brian Clem, a Salem Democrat who's been musing about running for governor next year).
“Jon's grassroots political chops are a great fit for the mission of OLCV,” Poisner said in a press release announcing the hire. “The organization will be in great hands.”
