Look Who Got Busted by the OLCC

The oldest strip club in Portland was singled out for a spanking at the Oregon Liquor Control Commission's monthly meeting June 18-19.

Mary's Club, the venerable strip club at 129 SW Broadway St., got busted for permitting employees to serve booze without a service permit. Mary's owner Vicki Keller was ordered to pay a $3,795 fine or take a 23-day liquor-license suspension.

Other notables on the OLCC's hit list:

Bay 13, the chi-chi Pearl District restaurant at 701 NW 13th Ave., was ordered to pay a $1,485 fine or face a nine-day suspension for allowing employees to serve drinks without a service permit.

And the aptly named Dr. Feelgood's Pub in Tigard lost its liquor license altogether. According to a news release from the OLCC, the action was taken "as a result of a history of serious and persistent problems including physical altercations involving fighting, punching, kicking, threats of guns and verbal assaults."
