The Other Hot Potato Coming to City Hall: Proposed 39th Avenue Renaming

In case anybody's forgotten amid all the City Hall tumult over the soccer/baseball meltdown, City Hall has another hot potato coming its way this week. It's the hearing at 6 pm Tuesday, June 23 on the ordinance (PDF) to rename Southeast and Northeast 39th Avenue after Cesar Chavez.

Flyers are up all along 39th Avenue and in neighborhood businesses urging people to attend the hearing at City Hall (1221 SW 4th Avenue, Second Floor) and oppose the idea.
