The
May 18 issue of New York Magazine looks kinda familiar, doesn't it?
Remember this cover we ran on
December 3? The difference, of course, is that
New York's cover is an illustration--Bloomberg isn't known for his willingness to pose nude—while ours is straight-up documentary footage. It was chilly inside that barrel, let me tell you.
I don't think for a moment that
New York is ripping us off. It's a fairly obvious idea. I
do think they're ripping off
Vanity Fair, though. Check out the April cover, which is obviously superior to either of the above:
