Failed mayoral candidate Sho Dozono has lost another battle.
His Bush Garden
Japanese Restaurant has closed indefinitely after 49 years. A flier posted on the restaurant's main entrance claims a loss of foot traffic is being caused by the “ongoing neighborhood construction” of a 35-story office building, “coupled with the city's on-again, off-again plans for the 10th and Yamhill Parking Garage.”
According to a Bush Garden sushi chef, who declined to give his name over the phone, the construction - currently a giant hole in the ground 20 steps from the Garden's main entrance (at SW 9th and Morrison) - means “not much future, no money…” so Dozono and his 30 person crew “just give up.”
