News today that veteran Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter is
switching from the Republicans to the Democrats sent us on an "exhaustive search" of WW's archives to find the last time we'd written about Specter.
Turns out it was only last month when Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele
was in Portland right after then-Republican Specter said of his then-party's chairman that “he's said so many contradictory things I wouldn't pay a whole lot of attention to him.”
Steele's counter back then: “Trust me. He's paying attention” and then saying he and Sen. Specter
have had a good meeting and that he looks forward to working with him in the Senate.
Or not.
