Not all the news about new soccer teams in Portland deals with the men.

The Portland Rain starts play in the Women's Premier Soccer League this summer, and have already attracted some serious competitive attention. The Rain announced today they will host the Argentine Women's national team on July 16 at Hillsboro Stadium.

"Playing a national team is quite an honor," said Portland's interim head coach Stan Rodrigues. "Argentina has such a rich history of soccer which presents an amazing opportunity for the Rain and for Portland."

The Rain's regular season schedule will be announced later this week on the team website.
