In one of the stranger twists to the ongoing City Hall saga,
embattled Mayor Sam Adams was set to give a speech on ethics to Portland State University students on Friday.
But after Adams admitted Monday that he lied to the public about having sex with an 18-year-old former legislative intern, Adams' office called PSU this morning to cancel his keynote address at a
student leadership conference on "Ethics and Social Responsibility."
"He just pulled out," PSU spokesman Scott Gallagher says.
Multnomah County Commissioner Jeff Cogen now is scheduled to give the keynote address Friday at 11 am in the Smith Memorial Student Union ballroom.
