Portland State Basketball Unwraps a Big Win Against Gonzaga

We know most Portland basketball fans are obsessed with the Trail Blazers.

But share a little hoops love this Christmas for the Portland State men's basketball team.

Christmas came early last night for the Vikings when unranked PSU beat seventh-ranked Gonzaga 77-70.

Led by the little man with the big shot, 5'6'' guard, Jeremiah Dominguez, the Viks held the Zags to 42 percent shooting, and forced 11 turnovers.

This was only the third home loss by the Zags since 2004. And it was the first time the Viks have beaten a top-25 team since they reinstated their basketball program in the 1996-97 season. The Viks had lost 11 straight games to nationally ranked teams, and all of their last 10 meetings with the Zags.

Dominguez was 7 for 10 behind the three point line and ended up with 25 points. Matt Bouldin led the Zags with 18 points.
