Candlelight Vigil for Equality On Dec. 20

Still outraged by Prop 8 in California and looking to show support for gay rights, Join the Impact is holding candlelight vigils across the country. Among the sites is Portland, where on Dec. 20 at 5 pm, demonstrators will gather in Pioneer Square to protest unequal treatment of the gay community.

Organizers ask protesters to wear shirts that say “Second Class Citizen” and stay silent instead of yelling and bringing signs.
