Just as we finished racking our brains for a cover to tomorrow's paper that will stay relevant next Tuesday on Election Day, some alt-bi-weekly in New Mexico comes up with this.

Brilliant! Tons of free national press for them.

Seriously, tomorrow's cover is in the bag, of course. But as a Wednesday-distributed weekly, we do face a challenge with next week's issue.

While there's a chance we'll know the final election results (at least for the presidential race) before we go to press on Tuesday evening, that's way too late to design the cover from scratch. We need to have one (or more) cover designs "in the can" before Tuesday's results come in.
