UPDATED WITH ZOMBIE WALK: Synchronized Thrillin' Across the Globe!

UPDATE! Forget Vampire Weekend—looks like we have Zombie Weekend coming up. After you nail your undead Thriller moves on Saturday (see original post below), draaag your feet down to Pioneer Courthouse Square on Sunday to reprise the role for the Portland Zombie Walk .

Portland, Oregon, (ZOMBIES!) – October 19, 2008 – The 4th Annual Portland Zombie Walk will take place on Sunday, October 26th 2008. All zombies will be meeting at Pioneer Courthouse Square at 4pm. Portland, Oregon is participating in World Zombie Day attempting to make a Guinness Record of "largest zombie gathering". Over 50 cities have been infected by the Zombie Walk craze and will be fundraising to stop world hunger. This years walk will be kicked off by Thrill The World dancers performing Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

Portland Zombie Walk is open to the public and participants are encouraged to don their zombie best for the event. The 3rd annual Portland Zombie Walk boasted over 700 participants and we're expecting to have many more undead this year.

The walk will be followed by a after-party show at Satyricon (125 NW 6th Ave Portland, OR 97209 ). This event is a benefit for the Oregon Food Bank. "Zombies may eat brains but they do have hearts." All ages show with full bar for 21+ w/ ID. $5/$10 zombies//non-zombies.
