Communications Director Karynn Fish
(at the left in the photo above) is stepping down to take a communications position with the Open Society Institute

Don't know who Soros is? Here's a bit from the Open Society's bio
on him: A global financier and philanthropist, George Soros is the founder and chairman of a network of foundations that promote, among other things, the creation of open, democratic societies based upon the rule of law, market economies, transparent and accountable governance, freedom of the press, and respect for human rights.
Fish will be leaving her job following BRO's annual dinne
r next Saturday.
Here is what her note has to say about her time at BRO:
"Working at Basic Rights Oregon has been an amazing experience. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a stellar team, and to serve the movement for equality during a critical time in my beloved home state. I am sad to leave BRO, but also very excited to take on new challenges in my other favorite city."
Portland's loss is New York's gain.
