The league is part of the National Women's Derby Flat Track Association and holds open tryouts for interested newbies or salty veterans every few months. This year's championship bout will be held at the Portland Expo Center (2060 N Marine Dr.)
In the June 21 semi-final bouts, the Break Neck Betties squeezed out a close win, 105-103, over the High Rollers. The Heartless Heathers had a more definitive, 139-102, win over Guns N Rollers.
