
There are few voices as warm and comforting as the Teutonic baritone of filmmaker Werner Herzog, so it seems only appropriate that he narrate his latest documentary shot in the frigid climes of Antarctica. The monastic soundtrack hints at Herr Herzog's richly philosophical cinema - he has treated a scientific research station like a place of religious devotion.
