Remember Rogue of the Week alum
Chael Sonnen, the erstwhile Republican candidate in
Oregon House District 37 (West Linn and parts of Washington County).
The UFC fighter, who
dropped out of the Oregon House race in June, got WW's Rogue dishonors for lying to WW about inflammatory statements made on his Twitter account about Anderson Silva, who is fighting Sonnen this Saturday. Now, fast forward to this week when Sonnen went after
Lance Armstrong,
saying in an interview that Armstrong "gave himself cancer."
Today on
Jim Rome's national radio show, Sonnen denied it was him who was interviewed about Armstrong and gave the quotes that ascribed Armstrong's cancer to drug use. Here's Rome confronting Sonnen in this
interview today with the audio evidence of Sonnen's earlier interview.
Sonnen's response to Rome when the earlier interview was played back: "That doesn't sound anything like me. It sounds like a guy with a Hispanic accent."
