Yes, according to this piece in The Hill. The congressional newspaper reports today that Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) was the inspiration behind Alexandra Pelosi's “Homeless: The Motel Kids of Orange County.”

The documentary premiered last night night on HBO. And Pelosi—daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)—tells The Hill that Blumenauer put the bug in her ear to do a film about a non-political subject.
