Chuck Palahniuk—of
Fight Club fame—just got some great publicity at Sundance Film Festival. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, Fox Searchlight Pictures acquired the rights to
“Choke”, adapted from Palahniuk's novel of the same name. The deal is valued at
$5 million.
“Choke”—directed by Clark Gregg, starring Sam Rockwell and Anjelica Huston—tells the story of a sex-addicted con-man who pays his mother's hospital bills by playing off the sympathies of those who save him from choking to death. No word yet on release dates.
